How to apply the wall decal
1. Prepare the Wall
Ensure that the wall surface is clean, smooth, and dry. This will help ensure proper adhesion.
2. Position the Decal
Carefully position the decal on the wall, using masking tape to temporarily hold it in place if needed.
3. Mask the middle
Using the tape to mask the middle line.
4. Remove the Backing Paper
Slowly peel off the backing paper from the decal. If decal does not come off with transfer film, press and scrape them. Start from one corner and gradually peel it off while holding the transfer tape in place. Take care not to touch the adhesive side of the decal.
5. Apply the Decal
With the backing paper removed, gently press the transfer tape (with the decal attached) onto the wall. Start from the center and work your way outward, using a squeegee or card to smooth out any air bubbles or wrinkles as you go. Apply even pressure to ensure proper adhesion of the decal.
6. Repeat
Repeat step 4 and step 5 on the other side.
7. Remove the Transfer Tape
Once the decal is firmly attached to the wall, slowly peel off the transfer tape at a 45-degree angle. Take your time and make sure the decal sticks to the wall, and no parts lift with the transfer tape. If any areas of the decal start to come off with the transfer tape, press them back onto the wall and smooth them out again.
8. Finishing Touches
After removing the transfer tape, gently run your fingers over the decal to ensure it is securely adhered to the wall. If there are any air bubbles or creases, gently press them out using a clean cloth or squeegee.
How to remove a decal
Removing a decal from a wall can be a bit trickier than from other surfaces. Here’s a method you can try:
1. Start by testing a small area: Before proceeding, test a small, inconspicuous part of the decal or wall to ensure that the removal method does not damage the paint or surface.
2. Heat the decal: You can use a hairdryer or a heat gun set to low heat to warm the decal and soften the adhesive. Hold the heat source a few inches away from the decal and move it in a back-and-forth motion. Be cautious not to overheat the area or the paint.
3. Gently peel off the decal: Once the adhesive is warmed up, use your fingernail, a plastic scraper, or a credit card to gently lift the edge of the decal. Slowly peel it off, applying even pressure and keeping the angle as close to the wall as possible. If the decal resists, apply more heat and continue peeling.
Happy Life.
